ABOUT THE COURSE

RUN

The Rotary Run for Life is known for a fast flat course located in Stony Plain, Alberta. The traditional racecourse uses scenic trails throughout town on varied terrain. The run engages fantastic volunteer teams who cheer walkers and runners on while passing out water along the route and a memory mile to remember those who have died by suicide. Paramedics and traffic control are also part of the race to ensure the safety of the runners.

For training or race day, you may choose your own route based on where you would like to run. There are no limits - Edmonton, Vancouver, London, Paris, or even the treadmill in your basement. If running virtually, we recommend you walk the trail first noting potential hazards. Limit crossings at railroad tracks or traffic lights. There are no flag persons, so please follow all traffic laws and respect other trail users.

The Rotary Run for Life is not responsible for the welfare of runners who do not run the course provided on race day during the scheduled run.
